The Theory of Four Roll Rolling Mill
The four roll rolling mill system is composed of two support rolls and two working rolls, working in coordinated action to reduce material thickness and extend material length to meet expected specifications.
During milling, the pressing cylinder or mechanical pressing device transmits pressing force to the support roll bearing stand, then to the support roll, working roll, and finally to the rolled piece. The workpiece height is reduced (becomes thinner) and length is extended (becomes longer), meeting the expected specifications.
Due to the impact of pressing force, rollers will become bent and the workpiece edges will become thinner. Therefore, rollers require grinding for convexity adjustment according to the practical situation.
